Sheridan and Jake visited Yosemite for the first time one year ago in January. It seems most fitting to share their wedding video around this same time. This is where their magical elopement began…

Coming from California ourselves, we are blessed with this beautiful National Park in our own backyard. You become a little spoiled to this lush landscape. Boasting with over 1200 square miles of mountainous scenery. There really is no way you can’t feel enthralled by your first trip through Yosemite’s famous Tunnel. This is how Sheridan and Jake felt; Awe and Wonder at “…how blessed we are that we can explore something so majestic.” And for them, getting MARRIED in someplace so WONDERFUL!!!

Sheridan and Jake’s day started out with them getting ready with the handful of loved ones they chose to share their momentous day. Located at the foot of Yosemite’s South Entrance-Tenaya Lodge-both Sheridan and Jake (in separate rooms of course) dressed to the nines, in their wedding finery.

Sheridan’s natural beauty was skillfully enhanced by Makeup Artist, Vanessa au Makeup and Hairstylist, Annie Ainley’s talented hands.

After putting on her surprisingly ‘light-as-a-feather’ Yolan Chris bridal dress, she finished it off with a sparkling hairpiece by Eleganza Esposa, that went brilliantly with her spunky pink and purple highlights. To finishing everything off came the epitome of Yosemite elopement hiking boots, and our bride was ready for her adventurous day!

Everyone piled into the rented SUV, Jake sitting blindfolded next to his bride. How he made it all the way to Yosemite Valley (1 hour and 30 minutes away!) we’ll never know haha.

Once we arrived we met up with Charleton Churchill, geared up and ready to begin the First Look. Jake, already dashing as he is, was glowing when he saw his gorgeous bride, and full of life bride.

At this point, it was a whirlwind of locations. Charleton, being a professional adventure photographer for the outdoors (all over the world), naturally knew all the best spots to go!

We went all over Yosemite Valley, stopping at scenic places such as Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, Merced River underneath Bridal Veil Falls, and even grabbing a quick caffeine dose from the Valleys own Starbucks.

From there we quickly jump back in our vehicles (excitedly racing the sun) driving up to Glacier Point Rd for the most scenic view of Yosemite we’ve ever seen…Glacier Point.

My God! It is always breathtaking! And it became such an intimate moment for Sheridan and Jake before the final event-their ceremony!

Taft Point is a 1 mile (1.6 km) hike to the insta-famous location for proposals. Needless to say, there were at least 4 other couples enjoying this scenic location. Who wouldn’t? Yet they all gave their respect to this couple’s intimate vows to one another. We won’t lie to you, There wasn’t a dry eye left when the sun set.

This was truly one of the most magical experiences we ever have had the pleasure to capture. I’m hoping it’s not the last time we experience magic such as this, but I will say we were honored to be a part of this couple’s most important experience of their life.

Being from England and eloping in Yosemite National Park, the planning started to feel like a minefield. But these guys were outstanding on every level. From the initial Skype call when I was thinking about the idea of a videographer to the pre wedding Skype call and then onwards. They are kind people, who know exactly what to say to make you feel like movie stars and can direct you so you know that you look good and feel great. But still making sure that it was all natural and never forced. They cared for us too, checking I wasn’t hungry or if either of us needed anything in particular. Just meeting Jessa & Colton for a matter of hours, I know that they are our friends. Which is exactly the type of people you want on your wedding day. They are storytellers, able to express every emotion through their art. They are unique and able to capture authentically beautiful moments, with creativity bursting through them. Weddings are expensive, but I would rather have no designer dress or no fancy wedding shoes on my feet or no flowers then not have this amazing memory in motion and not have brought Foxjump Cinematics into the most special day of my life. A day, thanks to them (and the hard copy that sits on my shelf) I will never ever forget. With our warmest regards, Sheridan & Jake
